A technical visit to Prefabrication Technology Center (PTC), Housing Development Board (HDB) in Woodlands, Singapore has been organized by CREAM on 28 February 2008. The half day visit was attended by 18 participants consists from CREAM, senior officers of JKR, CIDB Malaysia and also Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). The objective of visit is to learn success stories of PTC in undertaking R&D in particular prefabrication development in Singapore and also to see hands on operation of prefabrication laboratory. Upon arrival, the delegation being briefed by Senior Engineer of PTC Er. Wong Swee Khian about the function and roles of PTC in R&D. After briefing, the delegations were brought to make a tour to PTC laboratory and also visit to Engineering Material Lab. At the end of visit, delegation had agreed to establish networking in sharing experience and seek potential collaboration such as training programme with PTC, HDB in future.
